Yoga Programs - A Great Way To Complement your day

Style of Yoga - Vinyasa

Today in the western culture vinyasa yoga is most commonly practiced but is popular by the names of Ashtanga, Bikram or Power yoga. Translation wise ‘vinyasa’ means ‘to place’ or ‘to arrange’ in a particular way. It can also be simplified as ‘flow’, which is also an easier way to think of vinyasa. So when we carefully arrange the sequence of postures and move from one pose to the next followed by the breathe it results in a smooth, flowing class. Vinyasa yoga due to its dynamic nature can also be characterised more by variation than constancy. Combine Ashtanga, flow and ‘salute to the sun’(surya namaskara) sequence, the result is Vinyasa. Using various asanas and creative transitions the teachers develop their own sequences. Here at Living Om we have the following programs currently being conducted at some of Sydney's venues:

Shakti Yoga                  Saumya Yoga                    Nirmal Yoga                       Baala Yoga

“I am really enjoying the class, having never done Yoga before I have found it to be a great all body work out. After just a few sessions I am already feeling gains in flexibility and strength, and an improved sense of well being. This is a class where any one can join in and participate at their own pace”. - Selwyn, Artarmon.
